This is the oldest surviving Greek manuscript of the Ladder. Until recently the earliest known Greek manuscripts of the Ladder, also found in Sinai, dated from the ninetenth century, while a Syriac translation of the Ladder from 814 is also preserved. Six sheets were discovered in total, and these contain Logion 1 and the ending of Logion 2. The manuscript is written in Biblical majuscule script, alas from the period of the script’s decline. Hence, the date of this manuscript is very close to the actual lifetime of its author.
