This item consists of a rectangular copper plate that is nailed onto a wooden panel; it depicts Christ on a throne, encircled by an elliptical halo, with the zoomorphic symbols of the Evangelists in the four corners. The border is missing its ornamental stones, probably made of glass castings. The peculiarities of this icon are also encountered in a group of icons of similar iconography, technique and style, that can be dated to 1225-1230 and attributed to Italian workshops from Limoges, or other local artists that employed the Limoges style and technique
