The tenth century manuscript is Slavic. It is written in the Glagolitic script, that is, the alphabet invented by Saint Cyril for the Slavic language. The sheet on display is part of an older Slavic Euchologion, the so called Sinai Euchologion that was preserved in Sinai. This Slavic Euchologion, together with all other Slavic manuscripts of that era, are precise translations of Greek texts or liturgical sequences; sheet 6r that is displayed here contains part of the prayer of the Great Blessing of Waters on the feast day of Theophany.
